YOU ARE A DJ!: CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE WITH US WHAT IS MUSIC FOR YOU, AND HOW YOU PERSONALLY DESCRIBE IT?
For me, music is a universal language In which it doesn’t need any translators to be understood by people. Music helps to past the time and more importantly, connect us to others. So, without music, I would not be who I am now.
A CHILD OF THE EARTH… : HOW DOES THE NATURE INSPIRED YOU? AND HOW BIG THE WATERS, THE FOREST IMPACT YOUR WORK?
We have been provided by the mother-earth with many things. However, we know that the earth is old. If we can not enjoy the beauty of it, at least we can have an impact by making small contributions to take care of the planet. Nature is the most precious gift that anyone can get, that is why nature inspires me a lot because there are overjoyed and magic in it. That’s what makes my music have a strong connection with nature as I want to bring movements and send good intentions about the mother-earth.
TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS IN NATURE’S GREENPEACE…
The first time I joined Greenpeace in 2014, I have become the host for their documentary called “Silent Heroes”, since then, I have always been active in other Greenpeace activities. In 2016 we witnessed forest fires in Kalimantan and Riau. At that time, I joined as a volunteer in their operations called “Fire Forest Fighter”. Then I thought, “that was crazy! The side effects of this forest fire were not only impacting us but the whole world!”.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE FOR THE PART OF IT?
Later, Greenpeace, BBDO Asia, and I developed a collaborative project through visual and music called “Save Our Sounds.” I collected the nature sounds from Papua forest, then made a dance track called “the birds of paradise” with the aim and hopes that people will eventually understand the side effects if we did not protect our nature, and secure the sounds of the forest.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
In my opinion, the changes must start with yourself. Learn to find out about long-term circumstances, this will definitely make us more aware and eventually will invite people invite people around to make changes.
TELL US MORE ABOUT HOW YOU CARRY YOURSELF IN TERMS OF STYLE?
For me, the most important thing is the sense of comfort when you wear clothes. Don’t force on what doesn’t fits you, then do not become fashion victims because what is the current trend is not necessarily right for us and vice versa.
AND HOW IT EMBODIES YOUR PERSONALITY?
I’ve always dressed in a mix of feminine and masculine. For me, the best way to create the perfect outfit is to find a balance between those two things at the same time.
